The secluded courtyard with board space and outside shower is a surfers’ delight while families will love the coastal lifestyle with over a mile of stunning shoreline only yards from the door. Whether you plan long lazy days on the sand, hours whiled away in the restaurants, cafes and shops of the town or time mastering the waves, you have the luxury of a fabulous home just a few moments away.

Set over three floors this big and bright contemporary town house is ideal for families young and old (with extras like a travel cot, baby bath seat and high chair available for those with younger children). Couples and groups of friends will appreciate the space in this property that is often not available in accommodation in this area of the old town.

Head straight from the sand, through the front door and be welcomed by a large open plan living area, slate floors, whitewashed walls, oversized sofas and a magnificent woodburner. The LCD TV is internet enabled, so as well as having freeview channels at your fingertips you can browse ‘on demand’ channels like Iplayer and Netflix for even more selection. A Playstation 3 provides further entertainment options.

The dining table overlooks an enclosed rear courtyard, where, after a day of sea and surf you can rinse off under the outside shower. There are hooks for your wetsuits and plenty of storage for all your beach gear. Windbreaks for breezy days are provided.

Metres of twinkling granite, gorgeous black gloss, shiny steel and lighting effects create the stunning kitchen, fully equipped with all the essentials including a dishwasher. It leads to a separate utility room with washer and dryer, a freezer, microwave and downstairs wc.

On the second floor are two pretty light-filled bedrooms. The first has a large double bed, LCD TV (internet enabled), heaps of clothes storage and a bay window looking onto a pretty street scene. The second has twin beds and looks down to the courtyard. Fresh crisp linen and towels are all provided.

The family bathroom has a sumptuous double-ended bath and separate monsoon shower. There are slate tiles to the floor and a heated towel rail.

At the top of the house is a spacious third floor second double bedroom with glimpses of the sea and the famous St Ives Island over the rooftops from the dormer window. The perfect escape, it’s the ideal place to settle down with a good book. Open up the sash window to fully experience the sounds of the sea.

Cradled by prehistoric landscapes, St Ives was the centre of a thriving fishing industry before the pilchard reserves dried up and creative folk moved into its net lofts, drawn by the famous quality of the light and the bohemian culture that once characterised the town. Since the 19th century a wave of internationally recognised artists have laid their roots in St Ives – including sculptor Barbara Hepworth, potter Bernard Leach and painter Ben Nicholson, among many others.

Godrevy Lighthouse, a striking landmark to the east of St Ives Bay, was immortalised in Virginia Woolf’s To The Lighthouse, while the hamlet of Zennor, to the west, inspired the writer DH Lawrence. Since then, its whitewashed houses, sandy beaches and almost Caribbean-blue waters make it one of Britain’s most popular seaside resorts. But for all that, St Ives has retained a persona that’s like no other place in the country: picturesque, fun and undeniably touristy, but underpinned by the art and fishing culture on which it was built.

Terms & Conditions

Booking Conditions

This Hire Agreement shall be between the Hirer and the Property Owner.

For bookings made within 2 months of your holiday start date, please pay the full amount plus damage deposit. For a booking made more than 2 months before your holiday start date, a deposit of 30% of the rental cost is required. The balance plus the deposit is then due 2 months prior to the holiday start date. Failure to make payment by the due date may result in your booking being cancelled and the loss of your deposit.

Balance Payment
Upon payment of the deposit and subject to acceptance of the booking, the Hirer becomes liable for the balance of the rent 2 months before the holiday start date.

Linen and towels
The property is equipped with bed linen including sheets, duvets, duvet covers and pillow cases. We also provide towels and tea towels, with the exception of some short breaks when guests may be asked to provide their own towels. We do not provide any cot bedding or linen.

The rental cost is inclusive of all reasonable use of electricity and gas. Selected properties have a private water supply.

Sleeping Capacity
The property may not be occupied by persons other than those named on the booking form. The hirer shall not part with possession of the property or share it except with members of the party named on the booking form.

The Hirer and guests should make themselves aware of safety instructions at the property, locations of emergency equipment and read the instructions for use for fire extinguishers/fire blankets. For reasons of safety guests should carefully read the method of use and safety instructions for wood burning stoves prior to lighting.

This Contract is made on the understanding that the property will be available for the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available through events arising out of the control of the Property Owner, the Property Owner may be forced to cancel the booking. The Hirer will be advised of such circumstances as early as possible and the Property Owner will refund all monies paid in full but the Hirer will have no further claims against Only or the Property Owner.

In the event of a cancellation being received in writing the Property Owner will endeavour to re-let the property and, if successful, will refund any monies already paid less the initial 30% deposit.
If the property is not re-let for any reason, the original Hirer is liable for the whole of the rental amount.

It is recommend that the Hirer takes out insurance to cover the cost of events such as losses, damage to personal belongings and cancellation.

Personal belongings
Baggage and personal belongings are at the Hirer's risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss of or damage to such items.

The Hirer and other members of the party must not cause an annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of the neighbouring properties. Under these circumstances we reserve the right to terminate the agreement and ask The Hirer and all guests to leave. No compensation shall apply for the interruption of the holiday.

Damage Deposit £200.00
All bookings are accepted on the condition that the property is handed back in clean and tidy condition. Any unreasonable, unexpected or additional cleaning required will be charged for. All breakages or any damage must be paid for in full by the Hirer. The deposit amount is payable with the balance. The damage deposit less the cost of any damages will be returned to you within 7 days of your departure or we will notify you of any underpayment to be met. Alternatively a credit card authorisation for the same amount can be taken.

Occupation Times
Tenancies commence after 4pm on the start date of your holiday and terminate at 10am on the finish date of your holiday. Under no circumstances may the Hirer enter the property or use the parking spaces before 4pm on the commencement date and the property and parking spaces must be vacated by 10am on the termination date unless prior agreement is made. Late departure is charged at £15 per quarter hour if housekeeping are unable to access the property promptly on departure day.

The Property Owner or their representatives shall be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during the holiday occupancy. In case of emergency immediate access must be permitted.

Pets are not permitted at Porthmeor Road.

All properties are strictly non smoking throughout.

Internet Connection
Please note that use of the internet connection we provide is subject to your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) BT and a fair use policy applies.
Please note that we are only responsible for the provision of the connection and we advise that you take steps to ensure your own safety on-line. These include installing a personal firewall and up-to-date antivirus software before using this connection. Parents are advised to supervise their children. Illegal downloads including copyright infringement are not permitted.
We are unable to fully guarantee this third party supply.

Noise: A level of noise is to be expected at centrally located properties, St Ives is a bustling town and has a thriving gull population. Terraced properties may also experience some degree of noise. For advice regarding an individual properties suitability for your party please contact us.
Flora and fauna: Insects and pests are commonplace and their occasional presence is not indicative of poor levels of housekeeping.

Third party suppliers.
Only are unable to fully guarantee the availability of any of the optional services supplied by a third party during your stay. Contracts for Holisitc Therapies are directly between the guest and the therapist.

Please notify us of any problems as soon as they arise. Only will then endeavour to resolve the situation effectively. The Owner will remain solely for liable.

If there is a breach of any of these conditions by the Hirer or any of their party, we reserve the right to re-enter the property, terminate the booking and ask the Hirer and their party to leave.
